Translation to English
(the spelling of some names is difficult to translate from Cyrillic to Polish)

This took place in Warsaw in the Praga district on January 13/26, 1915 at 5:00 p.m. Came before me Wladyslaw Praski, 32 years old, a trader from the Praga district of Warsaw in the presence of Marian Dembicki/Debicki, a clerk working for the railroad in Fronolow (in eastern Poland north of Sarnaki on the River Bug) and Jozef Galczynski, an upholsterer from the Praga district of Warsaw, both adults. He presented to us a baby of the female sex and declared that she was born in the Praga district of Warsaw in the house on Skaryszewska Street Number 2 on August 15/28 of the last year (1914) from his legal wife, Emilia, maiden name Snopczynska, 24* years old. This baby was baptized the same day with the name Janina. Her godparents were Marian Dembicki/Debicki and Maria Szummer**. This act was read to the persons who came before me and signed only by me.

*According to her birth certificate, in 1914 Emilia Snopczynska was 28 years old.
**Maria Szummer (Szumer, Schumer, or Schummer) maiden name Szulc was a younger sister of Zofia Szulc, the mother of Wladyslaw Sylwester Praski (Jr.) and the wife of Wladyslaw Wincenty Praski (Sr.) and thus was Janina Praska grandmother's sister.  Jozef and Maria Szummer family owned a brewery in Sarnaki in eastern Poland.
